I've just come back from our Central America team conference, which has been really good. It was great to see friends that I've made on my travels as well as a few more that I'd not met before. It's been an interesting time, working with 5 nationalities and 3 languages - but lots of fun!
We also did a lot of talking about structuring the team, which has had a bit of a growth spurt this last year, and it's resulted in me being part of a small leadership team for the team. (!)
A couple of visitors from the Britain & Ireland, and the Swiss team came bearing gifts from afar! Hooray!
It was also great to catch up with a few Striders that I'd send to neighbouring countries - and for them to meet the new arrivals. They kept themselves busy with cultural studies (bilingual scattergories!)We had an afternoon trip out to a local Macadamia nut farm - and some lost a few years with the complimentary facial using macadamia nut oil.
